‘Midnight Sun’ title and book cover explained

Stephenie Meyer, author of the bestselling vampire romance book, the "Twilight" saga has finally revealed the release date of the fifth installment of the saga, "Midnight Sun."

The forthcoming book which tells the story from vampire Edward Cullens' perspective, is essentially a prequel of the first book "Twilight."

On May 5, the author revealed the publishing date of "Midnight Sun."  The novel is expected to be released on August 4.

Some Twilight fans, also known as "Twihards" or "Twilighters," have waited for over a decade for this book to hit the shelves at the book stores.

Though the book will be released almost three months later, fans have already started speculating what the cover and title could reveal about the story line as the publisher of Hachette's Little, Brown Books for Young Readers teases with the description of the book by saying, "This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting beautiful, mysterious Bella is both the most intriguing and unnerving event he has experienced in his long life as a vampire.

"As we learn more fascinating details about Edward's past and the complexity of his inner thoughts, we understand why this is the defining struggle of his life. How can he let himself fall in love with Bella when he knows that he is endangering her life?"

As said, it will be darker. Previously, Twi-hard fans and the author herself revealed what the title and covers of the other books mean. All the covers of the previous books represent Bella and her struggle for knowing the fantasy vampire world much more than she should have, but the tittles of those books are not about her, they are about Edward.

So fans are applying the same theory for this upcoming prequel for the saga. Predicting that the title is about Bella and the cover represents Edward. As the prediction goes on, many channels on YouTube such as "Storribook" has also predicted some interesting angles. In her channel, vlogger Storri Gadau claimed that the half pomegranate is bitten on both sides as Edward fights with his internal conflict of good and evil. She also says that the seeds are spread apart and destroyed, symbolizing Bella's intensification for Edward, as it grows, and he loses the will to leave her.

Some say that the pomegranate is shaped like a heart therefore resembling Bella's beating heart; the most important thing for Edward; keeping her alive and safe; not taking away her soul for his purpose. In addition, the pomegranates juice is pouring out of it, representing Edward's blood lust he has for Bella.

As for the title, back when the leak draft was out for "Midnight Sun," a line indirectly said that Bella is Edwards' midnight sun.

In the first book, "Twilight," Edward says he did not like the night because of its darkness and that, darkness was where he belonged, but as from the leaked draft we see that Edwards whole life shifts, as Bella enters his darkened world, lightning it up as his midnight sun.

The hype for this book is long awaited by many people, fans are crazed about it. This craze will not stop even after the book hits the shelves.
