CID’s ACP Pradyuman killed off?
Fans of the iconic TV series CID were left stunned as Sony TV confirmed the apparent death of ACP Pradyuman, a beloved character portrayed by Shivaji Satam.
A social media post by the channel on Saturday featured an image of the character with the message, "In the loving memory of ACP Pradyuman… A loss that will never be forgotten," and the caption "End of an era. ACP Pradyuman (1998–2025)."
The latest episode showed Pradyuman caught in an explosion while pursuing the criminal Barboza, sparking speculation about his fate. Notably, his death wasn't shown on screen, leaving fans hopeful for a twist.
Satam, speaking to Bombay Times, said he's on a break and hasn't been informed if his role has officially ended.
CID, created by BP Singh, has aired since 1998, with over 1,600 episodes, making it one of India's longest-running and most iconic TV shows. Fans now await clarity on the character's future.
The show is now available for streaming on Netflix.
