The Bear to conclude with season 5
The critically acclaimed drama The Bear is set to hang up its apron, with FX confirming that the upcoming fifth season will be its last. Fans won't have to wait long for the final serving, as all eight episodes are scheduled to premiere on 25 June.
Following the tradition of previous instalments, the entire season will be available to stream at once on Hulu and Disney+. The finale picks up in the aftermath of a major shake-up: Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has left the culinary world, leaving Sydney, Richie, and Natalie to manage the restaurant alone. The team must now battle financial ruin and a literal storm to pull off one final service in hopes of securing a Michelin star.
The news follows a surprise bonus episode titled "Gary", which explored the backstory of Richie and Mikey. While the show has been a dominant force at the Emmys—earning 10 wins for its debut and 11 for its second outing—this final chapter aims to settle whether the "perfect" restaurant is defined by its food or its people.
