‘Nolok’ on mask: New normal heighten creative freedom

An instance as such came to existence in India as donning "Nolok"- a traditional nose ring - was threatened by the new normal of wearing face masks which is a significant means to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Recently, a photo went viral on social media that shows a middle-aged woman wearing a traditional nose ring while maintaining safety rules. Instead of a nose, the ornament was seen attached to an N95 mask.
It didn't take long for the netizens to pick on the topic. While some praised the woman's creativity, others criticized the attempt as insensitive to India's current pandemic situation.
Someone wrote, "No matter how big the pandemic, nothing can stop from decking up". According to some, the issue is nothing more than a "final stage of social show-off".
