The BBC newsreader Shaun Ley was momentarily captured on video wearing shorts under his desk while reading the news on the warmest day of the year so far.
As the camera switched to a wider view of the studio, viewers noticed presenter Shaun sporting shorts while wearing a jacket and tie from the waist up, reports The Guardian.
Viewers were quick to call out the late-night news host's clothing on Twitter, with one writing: "Is BBC newsreader Shaun Ley keeping his cool by wearing shorts? And if so, were viewers meant to find out?"
Justyna Tosun, 34, watching the bedtime headlines with husband Sherhat, 38, said: "I roared with laughter! He'd been reading all this gloomy news when I realised he had no trousers on.
"It was hilarious because he looked like a bank manager from the waist up — and a holidaymaker from the waist down."
Londoner Justyna added: "It was like something out of a comedy show.
