GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of "Intern (for HR Team)" from candidates who are attending a course of further study of which the completion of an internship is an integral component or have graduated no more than six months before commencing the internship.
Job Location:Dhaka
Contract Duration: 3 months
A. Responsibilities
The position holder is responsible for:
- Work as part of the HR team to learn general HR process execution of the GIZ Office Dhaka in the area of Human Resource Management. This applies for all of the projects being implemented by GIZ.
- Learning by supporting the Human Resource Unit in various processes so that all activities are executed in an effective and timely manner.
- Learn GIZ rules and regulations in all matters keeping all information confidential.
In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:
B. Areas to learn and support
Support Area
1. Support in the preparation of income tax related reports and certificates
- Assists to compile income and tax related information for all NMA
- Supports to prepare individual income certificates for all NMA
- Makes photocopies and assists in the disbursement of income certificates
- Supporting in the compilation of NBR report
2. Personnel Filing
- Updates personnel file of all NMA according to GIZ procedures
- Compiles and organizes information, labels files according to GIZ filing system
- Collects and compiles personnel data from the GIZ office and projects as per requirement
- Filing of the hard copy reports and the certificates
3. General Tasks
- Assists in preparing HR related letters and documents, especially salary certificates, as and when required
- Supporting in different steps of recruitment process
- Assists the HR department in all personnel related issues
- Assists in and/or carries out other project activities and tasks as assigned
Learning Area

- Recruitment process / steps
- Filing personnel files
- Preparing HR related letters and documents
C. Required qualifications, competences and experience
Academic Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's degree (Hon's) in any discipline, preferably in HRM or Finance
Professional experience: N/A
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Excellent command on MS-Office especially in MS Excel
- Fluency in English and Bangla language
