U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Realty Assistant.
Job holder is the coordinator and primary liaison between landlords, occupants, and various Embassy offices for an assigned portfolio of U.S. Embassy housing. In this role job holder manages the logistics of the make ready process to ensure housing preparations are carefully coordinated to coincide with the arrival and departure of Embassy employees, advises GSO staff on regulatory and technical details of assigning housing, and liaises with the Department of State Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) on housing matters and waivers. This coordination role requires excellent management and prioritization skills and strong interpersonal relational skills. The job requires constant communication and coordination with several offices within the U.S. Mission as well as with incoming and outgoing embassy staff occupying the residences. Job holder also manages relationship with one or more utility providers, ensuring connections are started/stopped on schedule, bills are accurate and paid on time, and service issues are resolved appropriately. Job holder develops working relationships with landlords and/or their respective agents and management companies in a continuing dialogue to build relationships that ensure a successful housing program, to include authorizing and overseeing required maintenance and upgrades. Job holder is directly supervised by the Real Property Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- At least two years of college/university studies (local equivalent two- or three-years bachelor's degree in science, arts or commerce). (You must attach a copy of your degree certificate along with your application form.)
- Three years of experience in a customer service atmosphere that includes managing logistics in a real estate, marketing, sales, or a customer-oriented business is required.
- Good working knowledge in English and Bangla is required. This may be tested.
