Job Context

Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, the first design based private university in the region with a diverse and motivated workforce and an equal opportunity employer is seeking highly qualified, progressive minded, dynamic and experienced full-time faculty members of various levels in the Departments of Fashion Design & Technology (FDT), Apparel Manufacturing Management & Technology (AMMT), Graphic Design & Multimedia (GDM), CSE, CSIT, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Fine Arts, Music, Dance, Business Administration, Law, English, Sociology & Anthropology, Islamic Studies and Government & Politics and an official.

Position: Professor

Academic Qualifications:

• PhD degree or an equivalent, in the relevant discipline from a well reputed university, with at least 2 (two) 1st Class/Division/ Grade A of which at least one 1st Class/Division/ Grade A will have to be in Bachelor's or Master`s degree.
• No third Class/Division or CGPA/GPA below B in any degree is acceptable.
• Preference will be given to the candidates having PhD from the USA, Canada, Australia or UK.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 12 years of teaching experience at the university level of which at least 5 (five) years has to be as Associate Professor. The candidates must have at least 15 articles published in recognized journals of which 7 (seven) have to be published as Associate Professor. Candidates' involvement in funded research or industrial attachment will be considered as an added advantage.

Note: For the positions of the FDT, GDM, Dance, Music and Fine Arts Departments, candidates may also apply with the following qualifications and experiences.

Academic Qualifications:

• MPhil degree or an equivalent, in the relevant discipline from a well reputed university, with at least 2 (two) 1st Class/Division/ Grade A of which at least one 1st Class/Division/ Grade A will have to be in Bachelor's or MPhil degree.
• No third Class/Division or CGPA/GPA below B in any degree is acceptable.
• Preference will be given to the candidates having MPhil from the USA, Canada, Australia or UK.

• Preference will be given to the candidates having PhD from the USA, Canada, Australia or UK.

Minimum 2 (two) years of teaching experience at the university level. The candidates must have at least 1 (one) article published in a recognized journal. Candidates' involvement in funded research or industrial attachment will be considered as an added advantage.

Note: The candidates for FDT, GDM, Dance, Music and Fine Arts Departments may also apply with the following qualifications.

• Candidates with PhD/MPhil will be given preference.
• No third Class/Division or CGPA/GPA below B in any degree is acceptable.

Salary: Negotiable
