DSCC conducts mobile courts to ensure lockdown
A total of Tk67,300 fine was collected during the drives
The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) conducted six mobile courts in areas under its jurisdiction on Saturday to ensure implementation of the all-out lockdown announced by the government.
The mobile courts were led by three executive magistrates of DSCC's property department and three regional executive officers of the city corporation, says a press release.
A total of 22 cases were filed for disobeying government restrictions, violating hygiene rules and keeping shops open without authorization during the mobile court drives. A total fine of Tk67,300 fine was collected in these cases.
The mobile courts were operated at Dholaipar area, Fakirapul Bazar, Basabo Bazar, Kalabagan, Kathalbagan, adjacent areas of Dhaka Medical College, Demra Staff Quarters, Postagola, Jurain, Shampur, Kadamtali, and Mirhazaribagh area under the DSCC.
Concerned ward commissioners were present during the mobile court drives, the release added.
