Janakantha Editor Atikullah Khan passes away
He breathed his last on the way to the hospital around 5:30am
Veteran journalist and Daily Janakantha editor Atikullah Khan Masud passed away early Monday. He was 71.
He fell sick at his residence around 5:30am.
Later, he was taken to the Evercare Hospital in the capital where doctors pronounced him dead.

According to family sources, Atikullah had been suffering from breathing problems.
Atikullah Khan first published the newspaper on 21 February 1993.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Mohammad Atikullah Khan Masud.
President M Abdul Hamid in a separate message also expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of the veteran journalist.
PM Shiekh Hasina and President M Abdul Hamid both prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
