Body of missing Narayanganj boy found in debris
Fire service today recovered the body of a missing boy two days after a four-storey building collapsed in Narayanganj.
The deceased is Iftekhar Ahmed Wazed, a sixth-grader student.
Wire house Inspector of Fatullah Fire service Ahsanul Alam confirmed the matter.
Iftekhar's father Jahirul Islam Rubel said his son went to the ground floor of the building to learn Arabic. The building collapsed suddenly and six people got trapped inside.
Locals rushed to the building and started rescuing the victim after the breakdown, Rubel added.
Rajib Ahmed, a tenant of an adjacent building, took part in the rescue. He said the building collapsed all of a sudden around 4:15 pm on Sunday afternoon.
Rajib said they rescued five persons including the 14-year-old boy Shoeb Akter, who was declared dead after being taken to the Narayanganj General Hospital.
