Islami Bank launches Western Union remittance campaign
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has launched the Islami Bank-Western Union Remittance Campaign, offering gifts and prizes to remittance recipients.
Under the campaign, remittance clients of Islami Bank will get two geared bicycles through digital draws every banking day for receiving remittances through Western Union.
They will also receive a wall clock as a guaranteed gift.
The highest remittance recipient during the campaign will receive an electric bicycle as the mega prize.
The offer will run from 1 to 31 May, according to a press release.
Islami Bank Managing Director (current charge), Md Altaf Hossain, inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest at the Islami Bank Tower on Wednesday, 29 April.
Western Union Regional Operations Manager for South Asia and Country Manager for Bangladesh, Shihab Hassan, attended the programme as the guest of honour.
Islami Bank Additional Managing Director Engineer Mohammad Jamal Uddin Mazumder attended as a special guest, while Deputy Managing Director Md Rafiqul Islam presided over the programme.
Islami Bank Deputy Managing Director Md Mahboob Alam; Md Taohidur Rahman, head of business at Western Union Bangladesh; and M Tanveer Hussain Khan, marketing manager of Western Union Bangladesh, also attended the event.
Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, head of the Overseas Banking Division of Islami Bank, delivered the welcome speech.
Executives and officials from the bank's head office were present at the programme.
All zonal heads, branch heads and sub-branch in-charges of the bank joined the event virtually.
