Trust Bank, AGAM to launch digital nano loan service
Trust Bank PLC and AGAM International (BD) Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen digital financial inclusion across Bangladesh.
The agreement was signed in Dhaka by Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, managing director and chief executive officer of Trust Bank PLC, and Nish Kotecha, chairman of AGAM International (BD) Limited.
Under the partnership, Trust Bank will introduce a fully digital nano loan service aimed at providing fast and seamless access to credit for marginalised and underserved customers. The service will be delivered through the AGAM app, where customer onboarding, loan applications and digital know-your-customer (KYC) processes will be completed entirely online.
The platform will support both individual and business lending, using AI-driven credit scoring, a comprehensive loan management system and an integrated payroll portal to streamline loan disbursement and repayment.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, AGAM chairman Nish Kotecha said the initiative would help ease financial pressure on workers while promoting responsible money management.
Trust Bank's managing director Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury said leveraging AGAM's fintech expertise would significantly expand access to credit for individuals, small and medium enterprises, and underserved communities across the country.
