NCP extends greetings on BNP's 47th foundation anniversary
On the occasion of the BNP's 47th foundation anniversary, the National Citizen Party (NCP) extended greetings to the party's Chairperson Khaleda Zia and acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
To convey their greetings, NCP leaders visited BNP's Gulshan office on Monday (1 September) at 7:00pm.
The greetings were received with floral bouquets by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed.
Representing the NCP were senior leaders Sarjis Alam, Shamanta Sharmin, and Arifur Islam Arif.
After meeting the NCP delegation, BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed told reporters, "Today they [NCP] proved that in the political field we will debate, we will express differing opinions, but on the basis of friendly dialogue. Discussions will continue with mutual respect — this is political culture. This great change will take us far ahead. By establishing this democratic culture, we will be able to eliminate the undemocratic and unhealthy practices of the past."
NCP Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam said, "We believe that BNP, guided by Bangladeshi nationalism and prioritising the country and its people, will continue to move forward. Together, we will overcome all conspiracies and move forward on the path to building the Bangladesh we aspire to."
