Restriction on public movements extended till Aug 31
The government has extended the restriction on public movements amid the Covid-19 pandemic till August 31.
A cabinet division circular issued today in this regard states that people will not be allowed to move out between 10pm and 5am every day unless there is an emergency.
The circular also instructs all to wear facemasks while going outside, maintain social distancing and abide by other health guidelines.

It also warns of legal actions against any violations of the rules.
All health directives must be followed in markets, super shops and shopping malls which must arrange temperature checking machines, hand washing facilities and sanitisers in front of the gates, says the circular.
The circular also encourages people to use e-commerce sites more to buy necessary items while instructs all shops to be closed by 8 pm every day.
All government, autonomous and private offices, banks and financial organisations, businesses, factories and service centres can be opened following health safety rules while potential Covid-19 infected, ill and pregnant employees should avoid going to office.
During this restriction period, all public transports should operate by maintaining health guidelines.
Regarding the closure of educational institutions and coaching centres, the ministry concerned will issue specific rules, the circular also reads.
Furthermore, all physical seminars, discussions and gatherings etc have been prohibited during this time, encouraging all to arrange these programmes virtually.
People can go out to pray following the directives by the religion ministry, says the circular.
The cluster areas of Covid-19 patients have to be dealt with the guidelines by the Directorate General of Health Services while all necessary items should be arranged for the people in these areas. Relevant city corporations and district administrations will ensure it and coordinate the whole process.
LGRD ministry, information ministry, religion ministry, health services division and upazila administrations will campaign and take up awareness programmes to tackle the spread of Covid-19.
