The fuel price hike in the country may impact the kitchen market by increasing the prices of different vegetables and other products which can be felt from Saturday, said sellers.

They said although the price of most of the vegetables and other kitchen items including chicken, eggs, onion, oil, lentils‌‌ has remained unchanged today, the prices may increase tomorrow.

Mahfuz Alam, proprietor of Fatema Rice Agency in Karwan Bazar, said, "The price of rice has not increased in the last 10 days. We fear that it may increase in the coming days due to the fuel price jump."
