Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) is an independent Trust established by the Govt. of the People's Republic of Bangladesh providing specialist services to the Government, national and international agencies in the field of water modelling, computational hydraulics and allied sciences. IWM has an excellent working environment and scope for career development through HRD programme both in-house and abroad. IWM is now looking for immediate appointment of the following position:

Position Title:  System Assistant
Reporting To:  Director, ICT-GIS Division

No. of position: 01

Key responsibilities:

  • Installation computer hardware peripheral and software
  • Installation and Troubleshooting LAN and WAN system
  • Installation and configuration of windows printing system
  • installation and troubleshooting both windows and Linux platform
  • should have capacity to support independently the computer users
  • ICT support to IWM client office, project field office, different stalls and seminar
  • Store keeping of consumable items
  • Any other tasks assigned by System Manager and Director, ICT-GIS

Required qualifications and experience

  • Diploma Engineering in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/ ICT from any reputed institute or university.
  • Minimum (05) five years experience in IT field in any reputed organisation.

Additional requirements

  • Experience in corporate IT network and must handle minimum 100 computers
  • Energetic and dedicated about work under pressure

Other requirements

  • Age must be below 35 years
  • Strong communication ability in English and Bangla
  • must have a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • must be able to multi-task and have a mindset to work under pressure
  • Dynamic, self motivated and hard working
