The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) is going to recruit a Senior Research Fellow who is interested to pursue an intellectually challenging career focusing on Macroeconomics, International Economics and Global Agendas for Development. The position demands academic rigour, commitment, initiative and creativity. Mid-level professionals with basic higher education degrees in Economics, Development Studies will be considered. The successful candidate will have eight (8) years of cumulative service experiences, preferably in Academic and/or Research Institutions, including three (3) years' experience in a position equivalent to Research Fellow.
The candidate should desirably have a PhD degree from a reputed university and a minimum of ten (10) publications in peer-reviewed journals or chapters in books or monographs brought out by a reputed publishing house. In case of exceptional professional achievements, including excellent publication record, the PhD requirement may be relaxed.
The selected candidate will be entrusted with the specific responsibility of contributing to CPD's ongoing research programmes. Candidates should have managerial experiences of delivering large research programs and demonstrated capacity to undertake research works independently and supervise research works of others. The candidate will also be responsible for supervision and management of research studies, develop research proposals, provide research inputs call for proposals submitted jointly with other organizations. He/she will be adept at networking with other institutions, government agencies and professionals.
The Senior Research Fellow will be recruited initially for one (1) year and, based on performance, may be offered a permanent position at CPD. A consolidate salary of Taka 1,20,000 per month will be offered to the successful candidate, along with other admissible benefits. Actual compensation package will be offered based on assessment of the candidate's qualifications and suitability, including experience.
