Job Context

• Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 273 upazilas under 49 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.

• ESDO in Partnership with Stromme Foundation and implementing ''Socio-Economic Empowerment with Dignity and Sustainability (SEEDS) in Nageswari, Ulipur and Kurigram Sadar under Kurigram district .SEEDS basically have been designed based on human rights based approach. ESDO is seeking to hire the qualified, committed and dedicated person according to the following conditions. Project duration up to December'2023

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementation of economic inclusion related project activities

• The project officer (EI) will be responsible to prepare comprehensive training need, develop training plan and conduct training for targeted group and project staffs.

• Linkage and communicate with various services providers agencies in government and non government/private sectors (PPSE)

• Report writing as project required

• Report to Project Manager

Workplace: Work at office

Educational Requirements: Masters in Agriculture and or Master's in Social Science or any other relevant subjects

Experience Requirements: At least 5 year(s)

Additional Requirements

• Age at most 45 years

• Both males and females are allowed to apply

• At least 5 years working experience in livelihoods project or 3 years working experience on value chain based project

• Strong facilitation skill on training management for SRG and CBO/PO's

• Skill and vast knowledge on market, TVET, update income generating options and value chain development and also job placement

• In depth knowledge on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship development

• In depth knowledge and personality to buildup capacity of project staffs through monitoring lens

• Strong advocacy skill with duty bears for sensitizing them in favor of targeted groups

• Experience on mobilizing community resources, linkage with MFI and establish the economic hub like RRC

• Having strong write-up skill capturing impact level based on project out comes, outputs in quality and quantities view

• Experience on arrange various workshops, Orientation, meeting, training with concern government officials and local public representatives

• Comply with ESDO and Stromme Foundation policies and practices (child protection, HR, gender responsive safeguarding, health and safety, gender, and other procedures.

• Analytical skill for critical problems solving, accuracy of data

• Able to demonstrate team work approach and ensuring friendly environment for project staffs

• Sincere about the time management

• Able to do time bound work

• Frequently field visit as required

• Depth knowledge on DIP, Budget and documentations

• Excellent at Micro Soft Office package, PowerPoint prepare is must

• Able to prepare good case story ,article and good report writing in English and Bangla and also collect good quality photographs for documentation

• Able to drive motor cycle with valid and update driving license

• Ability to work at rural/chars land.

Job Location: Kurigram

Salary: Monthly Consolidated BDT: 33,600/-only

Compensation & Other Benefits: According to the project budget, other benefits would be provided
