Head of People, Bangladesh is a key role within our global People team. Reporting to the Head of HR based in San Francisco (US), you will be working across a variety of HR programs and initiatives to ensure the Bangladesh leadership and teams have the support they need to be successful. As the Head of People, you will be responsible for executing key people-related programs including recruiting, onboarding, cultural initiatives, engagement and retention, performance management, career development, and human resources. We're looking for someone with significant experience with all aspects of people operations and HR strategy but who also has an entrepreneurial spirit. Partnering with local management to ensure a great work environment for our employees, and providing advice and coaching to local management in all people matters.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs aligned with business goals.
- Develop and implement human resources policies to support strategic objectives in line with the land of law.
- Take a lead role in transforming and strengthening the organizational culture, ensuring that the company values and approach are displayed.
- Regularly coach, mentor and support senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, develop and maintain effective relationships and encourage retention.
- Own applicant-facing management of our brand on and off platforms including our careers page as well as platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, local job sites, etc.
- Strengthen our culture; work with the management team to organize and execute team-building events and keep company culture top of mind.
- Create and expand on HR tools and processes, advise the executive team on employment laws, benefits options, compensation strategies, etc.
- Be the source of truth and owner for all people operations including but not limited to: Hiring, Human Resources, employment laws, on-boarding/off-boarding processes, and other people operations functions.
- Work closely with Country Director (Bangladesh) to revamp employee development processes to enhance the employee experience and increase productivity and retention.
- Collaborate and support the US and India for any HR support or any other assigned projects.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Management, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of work experience in HR leadership roles.
- Solid understanding of employment regulation in line with the land of law and general HR best practices.
- Solid experience in employee engagement, employee benefits, employee service, and recruiting.
- Experience in "mass" recruitment is highly preferred.
- Experience in global companies with US offices highly preferred.
