Job Responsibilities

Develop functional and attractive packaging designs for various products that resonate with the target markets, any product-centric requirements and comply with local and international standard regulations
Work with the design, marketing, and merchandising teams to identify packaging specifications, cost targets, and implementation plan
Evaluate market trends and analyze similar packaging designs for various product lines
Initiate packaging ideas using hand sketches, verbal cues, words, and design software
Analyze functional ideas, identify suitable packaging materials which are easy to store, conduct feasibility studies in collaboration with the retail team and create packaging mock-ups
Collaborate with brand teams and graphic designers to finalize packaging text and graphics
Complete final mock-up designs using 3D modeling software
Work with vendors to oversee packaging sample development and subsequent implementation after approval

Educational Requirements: A Bachelor degree (preferably in Graphic Design, Art, or a similar field) from any reputed university

Additional Requirements

4-5 years relevant work experience
Proven experience working as a packaging designer is preferable
Proficiency with 3D design software including CAD or AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant creative tools
Experience with market research and product placement advertising
Familiarity with various packaging materials
Knowledge of consumer packaging health and safety regulations
