Plan has been working in Cox Bazar to respond to the Rohingya refugee influx since 24 September 2017 implementing the following key objectives: 1. Ensure girls and boys affected by the crisis are protected from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation through appropriate prevention and response interventions in line with minimum standards. 2. Reduce the transmission of disease from feces to mouth through the promotion of good hygiene practice and the reduction of health risks related to poor sanitation 3. Restore and increase access to safe quality and inclusive educational opportunities for refugee children and adolescents (girls and boys) affected by the Rohingya crisis.

The CPIMS specialist will be the main focal person to operate the CPIMS+, other ICT applications for monitoring, evaluation and research, and data management across PLAN International Bangladesh (PIB) Rohingya Response Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) programs. She/he will be primarily responsible to manage and coordinate the collection of data based on various IMS and CPiE templates while ensuring effective operations following ICT strategies/principles. The CPIMS specialist will be responsible to strengthen capacity of CM Coordinators and CM Officers in data collection tools and common practices. The CPIMS specialist will be reportable to CM Advisor and closely work with CBCP Advisors, CBCP, Protection and CM Specialists, CP Project Managers, Program Managers while collaborating with the MEAL team and more specifically, with the M&E Specialist. The CPIMS Specialist will be required to attend meetings and workshops related to data management systems. CP S/he may also need to attend CMTWG meeting.
The role
CPIMS Specialist will be the custodian of all data related to Child Protection. The position holder will report to the Case Management Advisor and closely cooperate with CPiE technical team. The CPIMS Specialist will work in close collaboration with the CPiE Program Lead, Programme/Project Manager, CBCP and CM Advisors and CPiE Specialists and Other sector colleagues (ex: education, WASH, etc.) Through the Advisors, provide technical inputs to proposal development and compliance/reporting for ongoing projects. He/she will be very strict in data protection, follow Plan International's Child Protection Policy and code of conduct. He/she represents Plan International in external meetings as delegated by CM Advisor or CPiE Program Lead.
What we're looking for
- Master Degree in social work, social sciences or related field;
- More than three years working experience in IMS, especially on large scale data management. Working experience in humanitarian sector is preferred
- Previous experience working in IMS in the area of Case Management, Psychosocial counselling, Child Protection, as well as in Community Based activities, youth engagement, advocacy and Psychosocial Support service provision;
- English working skills is mandatory and coordination and team management skills is required;
- Cognitive stand to respect differences of culture, opinion and lived experiences while upholding feminist, rights-based principles, survivor-centered and girls and women's protection and empowerment;
- Highly organized and self-motivated, able to work efficiently independently, as well as working collaborative with others;
