“We hope that no sane person will try to poke their noses into the internal issues of India or Kashmir,” Benazir said at a press conference on security measures during Eid at RAB’s Media Centre

Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed said legal actions will be taken if anyone in Bangladesh tries to poke their noses in India’s internal Kashmir issues.

“We hope that no sane person will try to poke their noses into the internal issues of India or Kashmir,” Benazir said at a press conference on security measures during Eid at RAB’s Media Centre on Friday.

“If anyone tries to create chaos in our country using the Kashmir issue – which is not even our problem – legal action will be taken,” the RAB DG said.

“Religious fanatics, who may create turmoil in the country, are under our 24-hour surveillance,” he added.

About former commanding officer of RAB-7 Hasinur Rahman’s going missing, Benazir said: “Not just in Bangladesh, people are going missing in America, Britain, Europe, too.”

The RAB DG said: “We are trying to find him. We have contacted his family. We are working on the issue. If anyone has any information, we can take proper action.”

Hasinur Rahman was allegedly abducted by a group of people wearing vests inscribed “Detective Branch of Police” from his village Pallabi on his way back home on August 8, 2018.

Hasinur’s family filed a complaint with the Pallabi police station.
