“Fallout” is a post-apocalyptic video game which will be turned into a series by Kilter Films

The creators of 'Westworld' are coming up with another sci-fi series 'Fallout.'

"Fallout" is a post-apocalyptic video game which will be turned into a series by Kilter Films, the production company of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy reported by Variety.

Fallout is currently in development with a series commitment penalty – it will go straight to series without the need for a pilot stage if the script is deemed successful.

The announcement comes right after HBO said that they are working on "The Last of Us" series.

"The Last of Us" will also feature a great cast and writers, they've been successful in bringing "Chernobyl" creator and writer, Craig Mazin on board.

Fallout is one of Bethesda's most ambitious and popular games. The game was released in 1997, since then it has had four major instalments and several spinoffs.

The two shows are to be added to the streaming platform's arsenal in the ongoing streaming wars- Both shows based on critically acclaimed, iconic video games of the past.
