Beyond her glamorous career in front of cameras on the shooting sets, actress Suzena Zafar has another identity.

The model turned actress has gained popularity for her kindness and extending her help to the needy people, be it in Bangladesh or abroad.
Recently, she earned praises for her philanthropic activities after she extended her help for 52 Bangladeshi migrant workers in Dubai.
The 52 people, who belong to different districts of Bangladesh, are all living in Deira and Baniyas area of Dubai.

Like many other countries and cities, Dubai is also under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. This shutdown has hit the Bangladeshi migrants very hard.

The actress, who is currently staying in Dubai for business purposes, was contacted by some of the migrant workers, through her Facebook page.

When she got to know about their plight, Suzena decided to help them. She delivered 15-day supply of food and necessary items to them last week.

Talking to The Business Standard, Suzena said, "Dubai is completely under lockdown, but I have not heard any bad news yet. It's much better here than other countries."

"Like everyone else, Bangladeshi migrants here are also stuck in their homes. It is not like everyone has a steady income. They usually send their earnings back home, so many of them did not have the means to tackle this crisis," she told when asked about the Bangladeshis stuck in Dubai.

"Many of them did not even have enough food to go by. So, I have tried to do something for them. I think in this difficult time it is important to assist each other. It always makes me happy to help others and see them smile," she also said.

Being abroad did not stop Suzena from helping the needy people of her country. Amid the ongoing pandemic, she has sent food to handicapped individuals in Natuarpara Char, Kajipur Upzilla, Sirajganj.

Despite being a successful actress and model, Suzena Zafar is no longer regular in showbiz world and has spent the last three years in maintaining her fashion house business.

She travels between Dhaka and Dubai very frequently and no matter where she is, she contributes to an Autistic centre in Uttara. Whenever she has some time, she visits the centre.

Currently, she is also stuck in Dubai due to the lockdown. The Business Standard asked her how she is spending her time at the moment.
Suzena said that a number of activities is keeping her busy. She enjoys cooking. In the afternoon she devotes her time in prayers, while in the evenings she enjoys watching TV.

Although very far away, she is keeping track of what is happening in Bangladesh and in the lives of her loved ones and colleagues.
Suzena praised the initiative taken by Bangladeshi celebrities to aid underprivileged people in the time of coronavirus.

"Everyone is helping people in need. I just hope they all do it sincerely," she said.

"I would ask everyone to stay alert, stay clean and indoors. Whoever has the ability, please aid the needy. It is very important now," she concluded.
