Bangladeshi Actress Rumana Rashid Eshita recalled that the actor Soumitra Chatterjee was an optimist.

Eshita had the privilege to work with Soumitra Chatterjee in a telefilm 'Kathpencil' directed by Rafael Ahsan. Most parts of the film were shot in Kolkata.

"He used to talk about our food. He was an optimist, and it was indeed a great experience for me to get to work with an artist like him," Eshita told The Business Standard, recalling the memory of the renowned actor.

"I was surprised to see that even at this age, he prioritizes the script and memorized it. He was very punctual. When we met in the makeup room, he talked a lot about his visits to Bangladesh," she added.

The legendary Indian actor died on 15 November at the age of 85.
