American popstar Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation has donated $5 million to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

The 32-year-old artist is the latest among a number of celebrities to provide relief fund to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak.

The USD 5 million will go to food banks serving the at-risk communities, testing resources in underprivileged countries, protective equipment and training for health workers and distribution of respiratory supplies, according to a statement on the foundation's website.
