Joy Goswami and his wife both tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday

Renowned Bengali poet Joy Goswami has been hospitalised in Kolkata after testing positive for Covid-19.

The 66 year old poet is currently hospitilised in Beleghata ID Hospital with mild symptoms, reports Anandabazaar.

Joy Goswami and his wife both tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday after which they were shifted to the Covid-19 ward.

Joy Goswami's daughter Debatri informed the media that both the poet and his wife are currently in stable condition and their oxygen saturation is alright.

Joy Goswami, one of the most powerful writers of his generation has written around 35 books and his book "Benimadhob" has won the Ananda Award twice.
