One flew over the Cuckoo's nest prequel ‘Ratched' to air on Netflix
The series focuses on the origin story of the One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest villain Mildred Ratched.
Just as the fans were engrossed with Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story and American Horror Story, Ratched is set to be no different. The new series from executive producer Ryan Murphy has the eye of the movie buffs as it's a prequel of 1976 Oscar-winning "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

Fans of Murphy's previous shows will see Sarah Paulson collaborating with him yet again. The series focuses on the origin story of the One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest villain Mildred Ratched.
The show is set in 1947, the perfect place for Murphy's signature eerie look. The story has Mildred Ratched at the center of it. As she transforms from a young nurse at a mental institution to finally turning into a full-fledged monster to her patients.
Cynthia Nixon, Judy Davis, Sharon Stone, Jon Jon Briones, Finn Wittrock, Charlie Carver, Alice Englert, Amanda Plummer, Corey Stoll, Sophie Okenedo and Vincent D'Onofrio also star in the much anticipated show.
The series premieres this September 18th. The first season will have only 9 episodes and according to Vulture, the show has already been picked for a second season.
So, the audience are expected to see Mildred Ratched just after she's back from the war and as she starts her sadistic path that spans decades.
