My mother taught me life is not fair: David Hasselhoff
The ‘most watched man’ on television turns 68 today.
Last year, actor David Hasselhoff, also known as 'The Hoff,' spent his birthday in a secluded forest in Welsh. He said: "We loved living in the tree house and we will be back. Great birthday!" However, as 2020 rolled out, his 'happy 68th' put him indoors for the pandemic.
German descent actor, singer and producer David Hasselhoff, is most famous for his roles in the TV shows "Knight Rider" and "Baywatch."
He has two daughters from his second marriage, and lives in California with third wife, Hayley.
"From an early age, I was taught by my mother that life isn't fair," the actor once said. "There's nothing you can do about that, she'd say, so just move on. But that's so much easier said than done."
In 1982, Hasselhoff moved to prime time to star in Knight Rider. He played the character of Michael Knight, who fights all types of crimes and misdeeds with the help of a super car called KITT.
The series quickly became a huge success in the United States and overseas and made him one of the most recognizable actors on television. The acclaim helped Hasselhoff launch his music career, which has been particularly successful in Europe.
In June 1989 Hasselhoff released his album "Looking For Freedom." His single of the same name became a No. 1 hit in Germany, and he famously performed it on New Year's Eve 1989 at the Berlin Wall.
In the Marvel film "Guardians of the Galaxy," Hasselhoff appeared in a cameo. He also lent his voice for an official soundtrack of the film.
Hasselhoff once played the role of "Nick Fury," a Marvel comics character, in a relatively low-budget film, even before the MCU was launched.
Till this day, Hasselhoff is wildly popular among Knight Rider fans. He routinely shows up at fan conventions to meet his fans and take photos with replica KITT cars.
