"We're bringing the Metallica live experience to a drive-in theater near you on August 29 with a concert filmed for the big screen, presented by @encoredrivein," the band said.

The thrash metal band will be filming the concert at an undisclosed location, probably near their California home. The concert will also show material from their nearly 40-year career.

Venue will follow up on Center of Disease Control's guidelines. They'll maintain at least 6 feet distance between cars and the staff will be geared up with PPE.

The band is notable for their concert presence. Commanding stadium packed crowds on a regular basis. Though, as the circumstances and medium are different, with US seeing unprecedented spike in Corona cases. So, it is yet to see how the band would do from a sales perspective.
