Korean actor Lee Min-Ho to star in Apple TV series ‘Pachinko’

“Pachinko” which will start its production from October 26, will be an eight episode series.

Apple has announced the casting of its global drama 'Pachinko' which will include Korean heartthrob Lee Min-Ho as one of its lead. 

"Pachinko" which will start its production from October 26, will be an eight episode series. The drama will follow the hopes and dreams of four generations of a Korean immigrant family, reported by Variety. 

The plot will focus on the tales of war, forbidden romance, peace, love and triumph amidst the journeys between Korea, Japan and America. The story will be told in Korean, Japanese, and English.  

The "Boys Over Flowers" star Lee Min Ho will play the character of Hansu, "a rich and powerful merchant with ties to organised crime." 

Hansu's character is a mysterious one who hides a secret and pursues a forbidden romance which can lead him to dangerous situations. 

Variety states that apart from casting Lee Min Ho, the project also includes popular actors such as Jin Ha (FX series 'Dev', Hamilton), Anna Sawai ( Fast and Furious 9), Soji Arai ( Cobra Kai and Legacies), Kim Min Ha and Kaho Minami in prominent roles. 

Soo Hugh will be the main writer and executive producer of the show while Kogonada and Justin Chon will each be directing four episodes.
