'Pritilata' starring Pori Moni started shooting from 1st November, with the first day of filming taking place in Uttara. Shooting will continue till 6 November in various Dhaka locations, including Uttara, Niketan and Old Dhaka.

Popular actress, Pori Moni, will be playing Pritilata Waddedar, the first revolutionary woman martyr who sacrificed her life in her fight against the British government, reported by the press release.

The first day of filming started with Porimoni, Tanvir, Mamun Biswas, Mukul, Siraj, Ripa, RA Rahul, Raju Khan, Afrina Bulbul, among others.

Pori Moni was quite excited about her first day's shoot, saying, "This is only the beginning. We have such a young and energetic team that the first day of shooting already feels like I am engaged in war."

The movie is directed by Rashid Palash, while the screenplay and script was written by Golam Rabbani.

Director Rashid Palash revealed more details. He said, "We will do the first schedule in Dhaka. Most of the filming will take place in Chittagong. We were really happy with how the first day went. Everybody in the team is working very hard and Pori Moni is really giving her best."

Pritilata Waddedar was born on 5 May in 1911 in the Dhalghat village of Patiya in Chittagong. This brave firebrand was shot in the aftermath of her attack on the Pahartali European Club on 24 September 1932. In order to evade capture by the British soldiers, Pritilata consumed potassium cyanide and ended her life at the age of 21.
