It's not the first time Amazon's using iconic actors' voice to make Alexa more homely. However, this time Amitabh Bachchan will be the voice to attract customers in the promising market for Amazon, India.

Amitabh Bachchan's partnership with Amazon to be the voice of Alexa has already created a stir in Indian populace, Bachchan is a household name, and his voice distinguishable.

The move comes at the wake of Amazon's push in the Indian market. Amitabh Bachchan's voice is expected to be a paid feature for Alexa. And it won't be the first time.

"The baritone that has enchanted the Indian film industry for over five decades will soon deliver a unique voice experience to the many Indian customers who use Alexa. Yes, you heard that right! Amitabh Bachchan has partnered with Amazon to create a unique celebrity voice experience," read Amazon's announcement.

Previously, Hollywood's Samuel L. Jackson was made an available voice for Alexa and that for just.99 cents. Even Google used this promotional approach while having John Legend's voice for their assistant.
