Adil Hussain to play Bangabandhu in ‘Battle for Bengal’
“Battle for Bengal” shooting will start by March-April next year.
Noted actor Adil Hussain is set to play the role of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the Indian movie "Battle for Bengal."
Directed by "Delhi Crime" famed director Richie Mehta, the movie will center around the struggles of liberating Bangladesh from the hands of treacherous Pakistani soldiers, reports Anandabazaar.
The film which was supposed to be released on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence got postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
On 10 March, 2020, the film team led by the director Richie Mehta, "Fast and Furious" cinematographer Amir Mokri and action director Shyam Kaushal came to Chattogram to do a recee of the location but due to the sudden announcement of lockdown they had to stop shooting.
Produced by a production company in Los Angeles, "Battle for Bengal" shooting will start by March-April next year.
