Actor SM Mohsin dies of Covid-19

Ekushey Padak-winning actor SM Mohsin has died of Covid-19. 

He breathed his last around 9:30am today at BIRDEM Hospital in the capital, Directors Guilds President Salauddin Lavlu confirmed it to The Business Standard.

The veteran action tested positive for dreaded Covid-19 recently.

SM Mohsin was honored with the Ekushey Padak award in 2020 to recognise his commendable contribution to the entertainment industry. The senior theater and television artist was given the Honorary Fellow award by Bangla Academy in 2018.

The versatile actor, who had been acting for more than a decade, worked in Shilpakala Academy and also taught at Jahangirnagar University.
