Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE) member Spidor has announced that the video game "This War of Mine" will be placed on the official reading list for high school students in Poland from the next academic year 2020-21.

Spidor, representing the video games industry in Poland, also said that the game will be made available for free to support the teaching of sociology, ethics, philosophy, and history, reports Talkesport.

This War of Mine was a war survival video game developed and published by the Polish game development company 11-bit studios in November 2014.

"For the first time in history, a video game has been included on the recommended reading list for schools. We are pleased that the Ministry of Education and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki support and recognize the role of the video games sector in culture, creativity, innovation and even education," Head of Spidor Dr Dominika Urbanska-Galanciak said.
