The Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula range is full of products that are super moisturising and comforting for dry or itchy skin

Your late 20s and early 30s are usually the best times of your life. You learn how to make money (and lose them on Black Fridays!), you meet new people, and you learn how to take care of your life and your health.

The same time around, all the lifestyle mistakes that you made during your teen years such as gorging on junk food, staying awake until dawn, not eating proper meals, starving to look good on a date etc. start to show on your skin.

There is no point in crying over spilt milk – something you also learn during this time, however, small changes to have better skin or hair is something anybody can do.

The Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula range is full of products that are super moisturising and comforting for dry or itchy skin. Dryness can come naturally in your late 20s, it can also happen due to weather changes and winter is a tricky time to keep your skin healthy.

I have come across two products from this range, the moisture rich night cream and the moisture rich shampoo. The latter is sulphate and paraben free so it is suitable for those following CGM or just trying to have good hair.

The cream is very moisturising and although I am not big into following a beauty regime, I am using it few times a week. I do wake up with a softer, fresher skin when I use it night. Retinol based products such as this one requires you to use sunscreen during the day, as is written on the jar.

This was a gift from abroad so I do not think Dhaka markets have it yet, but do order it if someone close goes out of the country.

On the other hand, I ordered the shampoo from an online shop called Asteria. With a delivery charge of Tk60, the total price was Tk1070. This store has other good, imported products in stock and the prices are quite affordable.

After the first few washes, my hair feels suppler but the frizz situation is yet to be controlled. I used an oil mixture before shampooing so I cannot say whether it is the shampoo alone or the combination of it with the oil that has worked quite well on my curls.

Final take on both the products would be that they are good, better than many shampoos and cream that we see in the local markets.
