Three tourist spots to visit in Lakshmipur

Lakshmipur is a small district under Chattogram Division, it is located in the south-eastern part of Bangladesh. There are some beautiful tourist spots to see here. Here are three spots you can visit:

Dalal Bazar Zamindar Bari
It was Zamindar Lakshmi Narayan Baishnab's house now known as Dalal Bazar Zamindar Bari and located in the Dalal Bazar Union of Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila.

The house is located on 36 acres land. It was abandoned in 1946 when the zamindars fled the area due to communal riots. The Department of Archeology has taken initiatives to set up the first Noakhali Archaeological Museum in this house. People from all over the country and abroad come here to see this beautiful house.

The zamindar's house is located about 1.5 km from Dalal Bazar Main Road. It can be easily reached by various vehicles.

Jinn Mosque
There is a historical mosque called "Jinn Mosque" in Raipur Upazila of Lakshmipur district. The mosque attracts a lot of people from different districts who come to see its remarkable architecture.

The mosque was built about 130 years ago. Locals believe it was built by some religious jinn and thus named it the "Jinn Mosque", although a stone plaque indicates the name as Masjid-e-Jameh Abdullah, or Maulana Abdullah Mosque.

The mosque was built in 1888 in Denayetpur area of Raipur city. The mosque is 110 feet long and 70 feet wide with three domes and four minarets.

There is a secret place of worship 20 to 25 feet below the mosque. The distance of the mosque from Raipur Upazila Town is one km.

Raipur Boro Masjid

It is basically a large mosque with 23 domes. Around a thousand people can pray together in this mosque. The mosque is located on the north side of Raipur Bazar on the west side of Raipur-Faridganj road.

Pir Fazlullah established this mosque on the west bank of the Raipur Bazar on the banks of the Dakatiya River in Bangla year 1227.
