Nokia 8.3 5G successor is coming soon with a new Qualcomm chip, 108MP camera

HMD Global is working on a Nokia 8.4 5G. From a new chip to improved camera specifications, here is what you can expect from the Nokia 8.3 successor.

Nokia brand licensee HMD Global is reportedly working on a successor of its flagship phone, Nokia 8.3 5G. The upcoming smartphone will come with a new Qualcomm chipset and improved camera specifications.

According to a Nokipoweruser report, the Nokia 8.3 5G will run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 775 processor. It is worth noting that Qualcomm has not officially launched the chipset yet. The processor is said to be based 5nm process and will offer features such as dual 5G, Spectra 570, and LPDDR5 3200Mhz and LPDDR4X 2400MHz. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G chip is also going to accompany the new processor.

Apart from a new chipset, the Nokia 8.3 5G successor will reportedly feature a Penta-camera setup. The array will also house a 108-megapixel primary sensor along with ultra-wide, macro and telephoto sensors. As expected, it will also have Zeiss optics and Ozo Audio technology.

The phone is said to come with a 6.5-inch display with QHD+ resolution and PureView technology. The screen may offer a 120Hz refresh rate. A bigger 5,000mAh battery will power the phone.

HMD Global had launched the Nokia 8.3 5G in September last year. It features a 6.81-inch full HD+ PureDisplay with a 20:9 aspect ratio. For performance, the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage. A 4,500mAh battery powers the phone. There is also a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

In the camera department, Nokia 8.3 5G features a quad-rear camera setup featuring a 64 MP sensor, 12 MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens, 2 MP depth sensor and 2 MP sensor with a macro lens. Other key features of the camera include dual high CRI rear flesh. The phone has a 24-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera setup also comes with Zeiss Optics.

Nokia 8.3 5G had launched for a starting price of Eur 599 ( Tk60,000 approximately).
