5-day exhibition starting in Ctg, showcasing products by women CMSME entrepreneurs

A five-day exhibition is set to start in Chattogram, showcasing items products produced by women entrepreneurs of the cottage, micro, small, and medium enterprise (CMSME) sectors.

Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing the exhibition at Hotel Agrabad in Chattogram from 10 to 14 February.

According to a press conference held at Chattogram Press Club on Tuesday, there will be about 35 stalls in the fair, where women entrepreneurs will display their products at a low cost.

Chairperson of the CMSME Product Fair and Director of the Women's Chamber, Rebecca Nasrin read out a written statement at the conference chaired by Senior Vice-President of the Women's Chamber Abida Mostafa.

According to the statement, women entrepreneurs in the CMSME sectors who rely mostly on small fairs and festivals have been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This fair has been organized in compliance with all protocols in place to support these women.

Chairman of Women Co-operative Society Limited and President of Bangladesh Mahila Samiti Chattogram, Kamrun Malek will be the chief guest at the fair's inaugural ceremony on 10 February; Team Leader of Prism Bangladesh, Ali Sabet and Co-President of Punak, Shiuli Bhowmick will be present as special guests.
