Treevaly, the country's first full-stack ecological marketplace, has organised a social campaign named "Plant For 16 Taka" on the month of victory.
The digital social event which commenced on December 16 and will continue till December 31 this year, said a press release issued by Treevaly.
Treevaly and Treegram jointly organised this social campaign in association with BRAC Nursery, subsidiary of BRAC Enterprises.
DianaHost Limited, media partner The Business Standard, collaborated in the initiative as strategic partner while and SteadFast Courier Limited is helping the cause as delivery partner, the release added.
The initiative is taken by organisers to show respect to the martyred souls who lost their lives in the liberation war during this unforgettable month and aims to inspire people to plant trees and take up rooftop gardening, the release added
Md. Mushfiqur Rahman, CEO of Treevaly, said, "Depletion of oxygen in the city is a major cause for concern. In addition, as the number of green plants in urban areas is declining, it is difficult to breathe in fresh air."
"So, we are building a bridge between environmental experts and the rest of the audience. Treevaly aims to create a seamless platform where people can get any kinds of products, services and online training they need to lead a healthy and greener life," he added.
Mr. Arifur Rahman, Deputy General Manager of BRAC Enterprises, said, "We have always worked with the aim of building a green Bangladesh. Hopefully, BRAC Nursery and Treevaly will come up with more such initiatives in the future."
Treevaly is constantly evolving to set an ecosystem, where eco-friendly products and services can be found under a single platform, the release said.
