Amphan damages 300 houses in Bhola

At least 300 houses were damaged and some four embankments were breached in Bhola district due to the cyclone Amphan.

Piyas Chandra Das, district relief and rehabilitation officer of Bhola said, "We are working to assess the damage caused by the cyclone."

"We recorded two deaths till now in the district and around three hundred houses got damaged," he said.

Some three or four embankments have been broken by tidal surge and many chars are still under water, he added.

Many shops and houses were badly damaged in Bhola's Dhalchar Bazar area.

The cyclone have also damaged corps and trees, but the extent of damage is yet to report, he further said.
