A 5-year-old kid named Rashed died as a tree fell on him while going to the cyclone shelter centre with his parents in Patuakhali.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening at the Panpatti area of the district's Galachipa upazila.
Locals said, the kid was going to the cyclone shelter at Tulatoli Government School near his home. He died on the spot as a tree fell on him. But both of his parents are ok.
Galachipa Upazila Nirbahi Office Shah Md Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
