The lowest temperature of a bone-biting 5.7 degree Celsius has been recorded in Chuadanga.

A mild cold wave coupled with dense fog disrupted the normal life of the people in the district.

People's miseries, particularly the working classes know no bounds. They are forced to stay inside without emergency need.

According to the meteorological office, severe to moderate cold has been prevailing over Chuadanga for several days. 

Samadul Islam, officer-in-charge of the Chuadanga Meteorological Office, said the lowest temperature was recorded in the district this year on Monday.

He added that the severe cold will continue to flow for a few more days.
