5.3M earthquake jolts Chattogram
A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck the Myanmar-India border area on Thursday evening.
Sheikh Farid Ahmed, a meteorologist at Chattogram Meteorological Department told The Business Standard that the Earthquake was felt in Chattogram, three other hilly districts and eastern side of Bangladesh.
According to United States Geological Survey, the epicentre of the earthquake was 17km East of North Vanlaiphai, a census town in the Indian state of Mizoram.
