Shooting of “Operation Sundarban” begins

The shooting of "Operation Sundarban", the second film of acclaimed director Dipankar Dipon, has been started in Satkhira today.

Monoj Pramanik and Samina Basar, two contemporary actors starring the film, took part in the first day of the shooting.

The film is based on the life of the people living in and around the Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world.

Dipankar Dipon, whose first movie "Dhaka Attack" was a success, said, "Operation Sundarban focuses on the everyday struggles of the people living in the Sundarbans and how the land can be protected from the robbers."

"We want to make sure that we are able to entertain the audience by showcasing the effective measures taken by the government and the Rapid Action Battalion to protect the Sundarbans from the hands of robbers," he added.

"The first phase of the shooting will last for 16 days. From which 11 days of shooting will be done in the dark deep jungles of the Sundarbans. The Satkhira shooting will be completed within 31st December," said Diponkar.

The film is financed by the RAB welfare Co-operative Society Limited and produced by Three Wheelers Limited.

The film will hit the theatres on Eid-ul-Adha, 2020.
