Dhaka Nandonik presents their liberation-war-inspired drama Grohonkaal

On the occasion of the Mujib Centenary, Dhaka Nandonik presents their 26th production, liberation-war-inspired drama Grohonkaal – written by Syed Mohidur Rahman and directed by Syed Shubhro.

Actor Sayem Samad will be seen playing the role of 'Shahed', a war-weary combatant who left everything behind, on the call of Father of the Nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The drama also features Syed Shubhro and Nawshin Islam Disha.

Sayem Samad's return to the theatre has been appreciated by art and drama enthusiasts. A well-known face in theatre – Samad started working in Padatik Nattya Sangshad from 1992. Since then, he has performed in many theatre dramas including folktale Monoshar Pala, Mousetrap and Beder Meye. He has also worked as a guest artist with many other famous theatre groups earning him praises and accolades.

Samad's latest drama Grohonkaal was inaugurated in Mahila Samity on January 28, 2020. Ataur Rahman, a renowned theatre artist was the chief guest and the program was inaugurated by Ashalata Bouddho – the only female commander in Bangladesh.
