Police Week: Special magazine programme on BTV, BTV World

As part of the celebration of Police Week 2020, Bangladesh Police has made a special magazine programme to be aired on the country's national television channel.

The recreational programme titled "Milechhi Melbandhoney" will be broadcast on Bangladesh Television (BTV) and BTV World simultaneously after 8:30pm on January 4, according to a press release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Presented by Bangladesh Police Sahitya Sangskritik Parishad, the programme has been participated by officers of Bangladesh Police.

The magazine programme was shot in different outdoor locations, including Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, Gopalganj and Dhaka.

The programme includes greetings by Inspector General of Police Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary, an illustrated report on activities of Police Nari Kalyan Samiti and a short drama written by Mannan Hira featuring the country's communal harmony.

The programme starts with the song "Shono Ekti Mujiborer Theke" composed by Gauriproshonno Mojumdar. The song was shot at the tomb of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

Kamrun Nesa and Iftekharul Islam PPM, both additional deputy commissioners of the DMP, anchored the magazine programme.

Directed by SA Haque Alik, the magazine programme was produced by Masud A Hasan.

The five-day-long "Police Week 2020" will begin on January 5 at Rajarbagh Police Lines in Dhaka.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over awards to 118 members of police and Rapid Action Battalion for their various outstanding contributions, including bravery, heroism and services.
