Norah Jones' trio Puss N Boots covered Paul Westerberg's popular number, "It's A Wonderful Lie" which is a treat for the music lovers. The cover version of the song has been featured on Puss N Boots' second album, "Sister" which got released on February 14.
The former Replacements frontman Paul Westerberg first sang the song more than 20 years ago.
The original line-up of Puss N Boots features Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson, Catherine Popper.
Catherine Popper, best known for her work as bassist for everyone from Jack White to Ryan Adams, sings lead on the mid-tempo folk rocker, with Jones and bandmate Sasha Dobson joining in for a three-part harmony on the song's beautiful chorus.
The trio highlight the song's tenderness, from the classic pop melody to the dark hope of clichés like "The truth is overrated, I suppose."
In 2014, Puss N Boots released their debut album "No Fools, No Fun" under Blue Note Records. The band toured and performed at numerous festivals including the Clearwater Festival, Green River Festival and the Newport Folk Festival. The band opened for Neil Young during his tour in July 2015.
Puss N Boots was formed in 2008, as alternative country band in Brooklyn.
